NSCDC Reaffirms Commitment to Safe School Project in Kano

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), represented by Commandant Mohammed Agalama, reaffirmed its commitment to the Safe School Project during the opening ceremony of a three-day training program for desk officers in Kano State. This initiative is in line with directives from the Command General of the National Policy on Safety and Security in schools, aiming to create violence-free educational environments.

The training, sponsored by the Plan International in collaboration with Save the Children and supported by the European Union, emphasizes the need to equip officers with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively safeguard educational institutions against security threats. Agalama expressed appreciation for the partnership, describing it as a critical step towards strengthening school safety and protecting the future of children.

Joseph Apeh spoke on behalf of the partners, urging participants to fully utilize the training to apply the knowledge gained in their respective areas of responsibility.
