NSCDC Launches 5-Year Strategic Roadmap for Security

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), led by Commandant General Professor Ahm Abubakar Audi, unveiled a five-year strategic roadmap to strengthen the Corps' capacity and improve service delivery across the nation. The launch occurred during a high-level strategic meeting with senior officers at the NSCDC headquarters in Abuja.

The roadmap introduces several strategic initiatives, including the expansion of the Corps' operational scope, the establishment of a female strike force, and the Safe School Initiative. It also includes the creation of a Mine Marshal and a Special Intelligence Squad, significantly enhancing the Corps' presence in critical security areas.

Professor Audi emphasized the urgent need for technology-driven operations to meet modern security challenges and announced plans to distribute surveillance equipment across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. The roadmap also prioritizes staff welfare and institutional reforms, aiming to build a positive organizational culture and strengthen public confidence in the Corps' ability to protect national assets and infrastructure.
