NSCDC Seals Inner Galaxy Steel, Jiuxing Facilities Nationwide

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has executed a nationwide sealing of the branches of Inner Galaxy Steel Company and Jiuxing Integrated Industries Ltd following allegations of their involvement in infrastructure vandalism. This action, authorized by a court order, is part of a significant federal government initiative to combat economic sabotage and infrastructure theft, which are suspected to be linked to terrorist financing.

The NSCDC's press release, signed by Afolabi Babawal, indicated that the crackdown involves multiple charges against suspects, including conspiracy to commit felony theft and endangering railway passengers. The operation included a raid on the Birnin Yero facility in Kaduna State, where railway sleepers were recovered.

The NSCDC aims to maintain professionalism throughout the operation, as directed by Prof. Ahm Abubakar Audi and Apollo Dandaura, ensuring that all suspects found culpable will face the full extent of the law.
