NSCDC Seals Chinese-Linked Steel Company for Vandalism

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) sealed the premises of Inner Galaxi Steel Company located in Birnin Yero, Igabi Local Government Area, Kaduna State, following allegations of involvement in railway vandalism. The operation was led by Babawal Afolabi, the NSCDC's National Public Relations Officer, and was initiated after the arrest of suspects and the recovery of railway track sleepers.

A court order was obtained to search and seal the premises to preserve evidence for prosecution by the Nigerian Railway Corporation. Preliminary findings suggest that the company was allegedly transporting stolen railway materials to melt and convert them into products such as roof sheets and nails.

The investigation also involves Jiux Integrated Industries Ltd, with links to facilities in Abia and Zamfara States. AHM Audi, the NSCDC Command General, directed a special intelligence squad to ensure a thorough investigation, urging the public to provide credible information to help curb vandalism and protect national assets.
