NSCDC Seals Two Chinese Firms Over Railway Theft Allegations

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has executed a nationwide sealing of two Chinese firms, Inner Galaxi Steel Company and Jiux Integr Industries Ltd, following allegations of their involvement in a sophisticated syndicate responsible for railway infrastructure theft. The action, led by NSCDC Commandant General Afolabi Babawal, was based on a comprehensive court order.

The operation included a search warrant executed by the NSCDC's special intelligence squad at the firms' facilities in Birnin Yero, Kaduna State. During the operation, railway sleepers and tracks were recovered, which were allegedly transferred from the Nigerian Railway Corporation.

Staff members confessed to coordinating a logistics network for the vandalism, with stolen steel being melted and recycled into commercial products. The investigation is ongoing, with the NSCDC urging the public to provide credible information to aid in the fight against infrastructure vandalism.

The command emphasized that all suspects found culpable will face the full wrath of the law.
