NSCDC to Enhance Security with Drones and Modern Tech

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), under the leadership of Commandant General Ahamad Audi, announced plans to deploy drones and other modern technologies to combat criminal activities. During a strategic meeting held at the NSCDC headquarters in Abuja on a Friday, Audi emphasized the need for a proactive approach in the fight against crime.

He highlighted the importance of capacity building and professional integrity within the corps, reiterating that adherence to operational mandates is non-negotiable. The meeting also focused on enhancing inter-agency collaboration and intelligence sharing to strengthen national security outcomes.

As part of this initiative, the NSCDC will distribute advanced operational equipment across state commands, including three drones for aerial monitoring, 100 bulletproof vests, 100 helmets, and various other tactical gear. Additionally, personnel will receive training to ensure effective use of these resources, with a commitment to uphold the NSCDC code of conduct and standard operating procedures.
