NSCDC Intensifies Fight Against Illegal Bunkering in Rivers

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced a commitment to intensify its operations against illegal bunkering activities in Rivers State. The state command indicated that it will experience a "renewed vigour" in its fight against this menace, with operations set to commence within the week.

The NSCDC has reported ongoing success in dismantling illegal refineries and uncovering crude oil storage sites, as well as arresting suspects linked to pipeline vandalism and economic sabotage across the state. This initiative is part of a broader directive from the NSCDC national headquarters, which emphasizes intelligence-led operations throughout the Niger Delta region to eradicate illegal oil activities.
