NSITF Partners with Rand Mutual to Boost Social Protection

On Tuesday, Barr. Oluwaseun Faleye, the Managing Director of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), hosted a high-level delegation from South Africa’s Rand Mutual Assurance (RMA), led by Group Chief Executive Officer Bilal Adam, at the NSITF headquarters in Abuja.

This meeting marked the beginning of a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening social protection systems across Africa. Faleye expressed delight in receiving RMA, which has a rich history established in 1894, and emphasized the importance of mutual benefits and enduring relationships between the two organizations.

The partnership is expected to focus on advancing worker compensation, occupational safety, and health through innovative approaches and knowledge exchange. Faleye highlighted the need for continuous improvement in social insurance systems to address emerging occupational risks and ensure timely compensation for Nigerian workers affected by workplace injuries and diseases.

The discussions are set to culminate in practical outcomes that will provide a framework for sustained cooperation.
