NTAC Sends 10 Volunteers to Rwanda for Two-Year Mission

The Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC) has selected ten volunteers for a two-year deployment to Rwanda. During an orientation program at the NTAC Complex in Abuja, the Director-General, Dr. Yusuf Yakub, urged the volunteers to maintain Nigeria's image through integrity, professionalism, and patriotism.
He described them as ambassadors of Nigeria, emphasizing their expected contributions to Rwanda's development based on specific manpower requests from the host country. Dr. Yakub noted that NTAC, established in 1987 and supported by an Act of the National Assembly in 1993, plays a crucial role in Nigeria's soft-power diplomacy and South-South cooperation.
He acknowledged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Minister for Foreign Affairs Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu for their support. The NTAC will ensure the volunteers' welfare, including allowances and flight tickets, while the Nigerian Embassy in Rwanda will provide diplomatic support.
The volunteers are expected to depart shortly after the orientation.
