NTAC DG Urges Volunteers to Excel in Assignments

Dr. Yakub, the Director General of the National Technical Aid Corps (NTAC), addressed Volunteers during their Orientation Exercise in Abuja, encouraging them to leave enduring footprints of excellence before completing their 24-month assignments.

He noted that past Volunteers had significantly enhanced Nigeria's reputation across Africa, the Caribbean, and the Pacific, earning the country respect and goodwill. Dr.

Yakub expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his unwavering support of the Technical Aid Corps Scheme over the past three years. He highlighted the achievements of former Volunteers in The Gambia, where many have attained strategic positions, including Vice-Chancellors and Deputy Vice-Chancellors in Gambian universities.

One recent Volunteer was reappointed as Vice-Chancellor for another year. Amb.

Bashir Aliyu, the Team Leader and a Professor of Agricultural Engineering at Modibbo Adama University, expressed appreciation for the renewed momentum of the Technical Aid Corps Scheme.
