WKTT Supports NTTF with Equipment for Player Development

The Nigerian Table Tennis Federation (NTTF) received equipment support from WKTT, a China-based sports equipment manufacturer, aimed at boosting table tennis development across Africa. The presentation occurred during the 2026 WTT Contender event in Lagos.

WKTT representative Vera Ruijia Zhao highlighted Nigeria's rich table tennis talent, citing players like Quadri Aruna and Olajide Omotayo. She noted the importance of providing equipment to young talents, as many lack the essentials to start playing.

Zhao expressed a commitment to helping African players reach their full potential and mentioned plans for cultural exchange and training opportunities. NTTF President Adesoji Tayo commended WKTT's gesture, emphasizing the need for grassroots development and the challenges posed by equipment costs in Nigeria.

He acknowledged Zhao's support for Nigerian players abroad and the significance of this partnership in elevating the sport. The collaboration aims to sustain and expand table tennis in Nigeria and Africa.
