NTTF Hosts 35 Young Players at National Camp in Ogun

The Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF) is currently hosting a national camp at Babcock University in Ogun State, featuring 35 young players aged 19 and under. This camp is designed to prepare these athletes for three international tournaments scheduled to take place in Ghana and Guinea later this month.

The camp is supervised by Coach Dotun Omoniyi and supported by four additional coaches, focusing on the development of skills among 18 girls and 17 boys. Professor Afolarin Ojewole, the Vice Chancellor of Babcock University, emphasized the institution's commitment to holistic development, integrating sports into academic performance.

The camp aims to create an environment conducive to training, with proper nutrition and medical support provided to the players. Adesoji Tayo, the president of NTTF, noted the mutual understanding between the federation and Babcock University, which serves as a permanent training base for Nigeria's national table tennis team.
