Nigeria Table Tennis Federation Hosts 35 Players at Camp

Thirty-five young players, aged 19 and under, are currently undergoing intensive training at a camp organized by the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF) at Babcock University in Ogun State. This camp is in preparation for three international tournaments scheduled to take place in Ghana and Guinea later this month.

The camp is supervised by Coach Dotun Omoniyi, alongside four other coaches, and is fully supported by the university's management, led by Vice Chancellor Professor Afolarin Ojewole. The training aims to enhance the players' skills in alignment with the university's vision of developing well-rounded students.

Professor Ojewole emphasized the importance of sports in fostering discipline and leadership qualities. Adesoji Tayo, the president of NTTF, noted that the camp represents a mutual understanding between the federation and Babcock University, establishing a permanent training base for Nigeria's national table tennis team.

The camp provides quality nutrition and medical attention to ensure the players' well-being.
