NUJ Urges Gombe Appointees to Ensure Transparency

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Gombe State Council congratulated Professor Muazu Shehu on his recent appointment as the new head of civil service in Gombe State. The NUJ described the appointment as deserved and reflective of Governor Muhammadu Yahaya's commitment to strengthening governance and advancing the state's development agenda.

The council expressed confidence in Professor Shehu's ability to provide effective leadership in the civil service, citing his wealth of knowledge and experience. In a statement signed by Chairman Faruk Muazu and Secretary Shuaibu Umar, the NUJ charged the newly appointed commission members of the executive council to embrace selfless service, stressing that the people of Gombe expect transparency, inclusiveness, and tangible results from the new administration.

The NUJ also pledged to collaborate with the state government to promote good governance and uphold journalistic ethics, ensuring accurate information dissemination to the public.
