Gombe Governor Appoints 19 Permanent Secretaries

On Monday, Gombe State Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya approved the appointment of 19 permanent secretaries to fill vacancies in the State Civil Service and enhance administrative capacity for effective service delivery. The Head of the State Civil Service, Prof. Mu’azu Shehu, communicated the governor’s approval, stating that the appointments were necessary due to a shortage of permanent secretaries and the recent restructuring of ministries.

The selected officers, drawn from 11 local government areas, were chosen based on geographical spread, professional experience, competence, and the specific needs of various ministries. Shehu emphasized that the appointments were made considering the suitability and proven records of the officers, who have demonstrated satisfactory performance and maintained clean service records.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya expects the new permanent secretaries to leverage their experience and professionalism to contribute to a more efficient and results-oriented civil service. All appointments take immediate effect.
