Gombe Governor Inuwa Swears in New Commissioners and Advisers

On Saturday, Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya conducted a swearing-in ceremony for newly appointed commissioners, special advisers, and a permanent secretary. The event highlighted the importance of selfless service, with the governor urging appointees to discharge their responsibilities with integrity, diligence, and transparency.

He expressed gratitude to the Gombe State House of Assembly for their prompt screening and confirmation of the nominees, noting that the cordial relationship between the executive and legislative arms has been a significant factor in the administration's achievements over the past seven years. Governor Yahaya emphasized the need for the new appointees to justify the confidence placed in them and to implement government policies effectively.

He also announced the expansion of the state executive council to include 18 ministries, with the creation of a new Ministry of Livestock Development aimed at enhancing food security and rural economic transformation. The governor reiterated the administration's commitment to good governance and warned against corruption and abuse of public resources.
