Gombe Governor Appoints New Officials to Strengthen Governance

On Thursday, Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Yahaya approved the appointment of new officials, including chairmen, directors-general, and 26 senior special assistants, to strengthen governance and improve coordination across key sectors. The Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibrahim Njodi, announced that Dr. Kabiru Hassan was appointed Executive Chairman of the Gombe State Urban Planning and Development Agency, and Dr. Abdullahi Lamido as Director-General of Economic and Social Reforms Coordination at the Governor’s Office.

Prof. Hassan Bello was appointed Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board, while Dr. Takkani Solomon Jiga became Director-General of Educational Reforms Coordination. Six Senior Special Assistants I were appointed for political matters and community engagement, including Mohammed Danlami Isah and Timothy S.
