NUJ Mourns Death of Cross River Journalist Enya Ndem

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Cross River State Council, announced the death of Enya Ndem, a journalist and correspondent for Ibom Nation Newspaper, who passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026. In a statement issued on Friday in Calabar and signed by the Council Secretary, Mike Abang, the union expressed profound sorrow over Ndem's passing, describing it as a significant loss to the Nigerian media industry.

Ndem was recognized as a committed journalist and a respected colleague, particularly noted for his contributions to the growth of digital journalism in Nigeria. The NUJ stated that its leadership, in collaboration with the Correspondents Chapel, has reached out to Ndem's family to offer condolences and support during this difficult time.

The union urged its members to keep Ndem, his family, and loved ones in their prayers, and prayed for God's strength for the family and eternal rest for Ndem.
