NULGE Kogi State Inaugurates New Executive Officers

The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Kogi State chapter inaugurated 13 new executive members to lead the union for the next three years during the 8th Quadrennial State Delegates Conference held in Lokoja. The newly inaugurated members include Mohammed Inyanya as State President, Bala Ibrahim as Deputy State President, and Mohammed Kaka as Chairperson of the State Women Committee, among others.

Comrade Isah Gambo, the Secretary General of NULGE, administered the oath of office and commended the outgoing members for a smooth election process. Comrade Aliyu Kankara, the President General of NULGE, lauded the Kogi State Government for fostering a supportive environment for local government workers and highlighted Governor Usman Ododo's commitment to their welfare.

He urged the governor to consider local government employment due to the aging workforce. Kankara emphasized the importance of peace and unity among members and commended Inyanya for maintaining stability during his previous tenure.

Governor Ododo, represented by Comrade Onu Edoka, called for collaboration among local government workers to address insecurity.
