Nursing Student Found Dead in Anambra, Landlord Arrested

Chiamaka Chilaka, a 23-year-old nursing student from the Institute of Nursing Science in Ngor Okpala, Imo State, was discovered lifeless in her apartment located in Uruezeani, Alor, Idemili South Local Government Area, Anambra State, on Sunday. A viral video showed a cleric lamenting her death during a church service, repeatedly calling her "daughter." Reports indicate that Chiamaka had previously rejected unwanted advances from her landlord, with whom she had an altercation before her death.

The Anambra State Police Command, led by spokesperson Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the landlord's arrest as part of an ongoing investigation. The police observed visible injuries on Chiamaka's body, including deep cuts and blood stains, suggesting possible foul play.

The case has been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department in Awka for a comprehensive investigation, and the police have urged the public to assist with any information related to the case.
