NYSC Extends 2026 Orientation Dates for Sokoto, Niger

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) management announced on Monday the extension of the commencement date for the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II orientation course in Sokoto and Niger states. Caroline Embu, the director of Information and Public Relations of the NYSC, stated that the change is due to ongoing renovation works at the orientation camps by the respective state governments.

The new commencement date for the orientation course is set for Wednesday, August 12, 2026. The Cut-Off/Swearing-in Ceremony is scheduled for Friday, August 14, 2026, while the Closing Ceremony will take place on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

Additionally, all prospective corps members (PCMs) are advised to avoid night travels to their orientation camps for safety reasons.
