NYSC Requires NERD Clearance for 2026 Batch ‘B’ Mobilization

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that prospective corps members must obtain clearance from the National Electronic Registration Database (NERD) to be mobilized for the mandatory one-year national service. This directive is part of the NYSC's efforts to enhance its mobilization process ahead of the 2026 Batch ‘B’ orientation exercise.

A public notice on the NYSC's official X handle emphasized that NERD clearance is now compulsory for all prospective corps members, urging eligible graduates to complete the process early to prevent delays. The NYSC warned that candidates without NERD clearance would not be admitted into the national service program.
