APC to Conduct Transparent Guber Primary in Kwara State

Musiliu Obanikoro, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Kwara State governorship primary election committee, announced on Friday that the party will hold a transparent primary election in Kwara State. Voting is set to commence simultaneously across 16 local government areas.

Obanikoro stated that materials for the election will be distributed during Friday prayers, and further announcements will be made regarding the appointment of committees across the local government areas. The committee has prepared thoroughly to conduct the election in strict compliance with guidelines established by the APC national headquarters.

A strategic meeting was held at the APC state secretariat in Ilorin, where gubernatorial aspirants were briefed on the electoral process. Obanikoro emphasized the importance of addressing concerns raised by aspirants to ensure an inclusive and transparent process.

He reiterated the committee's commitment to conducting a credible election, noting that if consensus is not reached, the committee is authorized to proceed according to relevant party laws.
