Obasanjo to Keynote Rotary Conference on Leadership

The Rotary International District 9112 conference, scheduled for May 14-17, 2026, in Lagos, will feature former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo as the keynote speaker. Lanre Adedoyin, the district governor, announced that the conference's theme is "Elevate: A Call for Higher Service, Stronger Leadership, Greater Impact, Deeper Partnership, and Sustainable Community Transformation." The event aims to gather distinguished leaders from various sectors, including government, business, academia, and civil society, to discuss strategies for sustainable development and humanitarian efforts.

Key topics will include youth empowerment, economic investment, public health, and education. The conference is expected to attract numerous Rotary members and notable guests, emphasizing the importance of leadership and collaboration in addressing community challenges.

Segun Adewakun, chairman of the district conference committee, expressed the need for partnerships to enhance the conference's impact and strengthen Rotary's humanitarian initiatives.
