Obi-Kwankwaso Movement Launches Cross River Secretariat

On Saturday, the Obi/Kwankwaso Movement inaugurated its Cross River State executive members and unveiled its state secretariat in Calabar, marking a significant step ahead of the 2027 general election. The movement supports the Nigeria Democratic Congress presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Rabiu Kwankwaso.

National Convener Jackie Wayas noted the strong turnout despite heavy rain, indicating commitment to the Obi/Kwankwaso ticket. She urged supporters to mobilize voters at their polling units, emphasizing that votes for Obi and Kwankwaso represent a chance for a new Nigeria.

State Coordinator Egwu Arong stated that the secretariat would enhance organization and grassroots mobilization, focusing on coordination, youth engagement, and respect for law and order. Goddy Akpama, State Chairman of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, affirmed the party's readiness for the elections, promising credible candidates to improve the country's economic situation through strategic reforms.
