Kenneth Okonkwo Critiques Peter Obi's Presidential Bid

Kenneth Okonkwo, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), expressed in an interview on Selah Meditate Podcast that Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), had a unique opportunity to become a great leader but failed to capitalize on it. Okonkwo remarked that Nigerians were ready to support Obi without the usual political struggles associated with elections.

He stated, “Peter Obi is a man who had the opportunity of being great and dashed it by himself,” emphasizing that significant sacrifices were necessary for Obi to secure and maintain the political power offered to him by the populace. Okonkwo further noted that both God and the people were inclined to grant Obi his desires, but he needed to make the necessary sacrifices to hold onto that "free gift." Additionally, Atiku Abubakar's spokesman highlighted that Obi's political situation was unusual, as Nigerians were prepared to give power without the conventional political incentives.
