OBIdient and Kwankwasiyya Leaders Unite at Diaspora Conference

The OBIdient Movement Europe, in collaboration with the Kwankwasiyya Movement Diaspora, hosted the OBIdient–Kwankwasiyya Global Diaspora Conference at the Springdale Methodist Community Centre in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom. The conference aimed to strengthen collaboration, democratic participation, and citizen engagement among Nigerians living abroad.

It attracted participants from various countries, including the UK, Germany, Greece, Spain, the United States, and Nigeria, both physically and virtually. Key speakers included former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, represented by Dr Muhammed Hamisu, and various coordinators from the OBIdient Movement across Europe.

Damola Adebayo, the OBIdient Lead for Europe, emphasized the importance of building relationships among Nigerians committed to accountable leadership and national development. Percy Nduka, Coordinator of the OBIdient Movement UK, highlighted the potential of collaboration among Nigerians despite political differences.

Dr Muhammed Hamisu noted the readiness of Nigerians in the diaspora to contribute positively to national development.
