Oborevwori Praises Tinubu for Local Government Financial Autonomy

Delta State Governor Mr. Sheriff Oborevwori commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for strengthening the financial autonomy of local government councils, which he stated has improved their ability to meet workers' obligations and execute significant projects. This commendation was made during the commissioning of the newly constructed Sheriff Oborevwori Administrative Complex and Epiphany Azinge Access Road in Asaba, Oshimili South Local Government Area.

Represented by his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, Oborevwori expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for creating an environment that enhances local governments' financial capacity. He noted that this improvement allows councils to pay workers and undertake multi-million-naira projects that directly benefit rural communities.

Oborevwori also praised the leadership of Oshimili South Local Government Council, led by Hon. Ezenyili Kelvin Obi, for delivering quality projects. He urged civil servants to maintain the new administrative complex responsibly.

The complex was named in his honor, while the access road was named after H.R.M. Prof. Epiphany Chibogu Azinge to recognize his contributions to the community.
