Delta Governor Oborevwori Mourns Journalist Dave Okpogadie

Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the Governor of Delta State, expressed profound sorrow over the death of Comrade Dave Okpogadie, a seasoned journalist and State Correspondent for News Direct.

Okpogadie passed away on Saturday after a courageous two-year battle with jaw cancer. In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Governor Oborevwori extended heartfelt condolences to Okpogadie's family in Emevor, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Delta State Council, and the broader media community.

He described Okpogadie as a consummate professional whose dedication, integrity, and commitment to journalism earned him respect and admiration. The governor noted that Okpogadie's courage and resilience during his illness served as an inspiration to many.
