Delta Governor Oborevwori Forms Councils for Universities

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has approved the formation of governing councils for three state-owned universities: the University of Delta, Agbor; Dennis Osadebay University; and Southern Delta University. This announcement was made on Tuesday through a statement from the Secretary to the State Government, Kingsley Emu, and shared on the Facebook page of the governor’s media aide, Ossai Success.

The governing council of the University of Delta, Agbor, will be chaired by Prof. Victor Peretomode as Pro-Chancellor, with members including Rear Admiral Peter I. Eluma, Prof. Ebele Egwunyega, Dr. Roland Oritsejafor, Mrs. Joy Enwa, Prof. Ben Oghojafor, and Prof. Patrick Oromareghake.

For Dennis Osadebay University, Prof. Patrick Muoboghare has been appointed Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, with members including Dr. Christopher Onyemenam, Chief Elmina V. Namah, Prof. Jacob Oboreh, Dr. Josephine Konyeme, Dr. Philomena Imonivewerha, and Prof. Rowell Ubogu.

The Southern Delta University council will be chaired by Chief Godson Echegile, with members including Prof. Benedict Binebai, Sur. Mrs. Felicia Omatsola, Prof. Stella Chiemeke, Dr. Tosan Luck Popo, Prof. William Ehwarieme, and Prof. Mrs. Regina Arisi.

The statement concluded that the inauguration of the councils would be announced in due course.
