The Federal Ministry of Information and Culture, in collaboration with UNICEF, emphasized the importance of ethical journalism in reporting on children's rights during a two-day training session in Ibadan, Oyo State. UNICEF stressed the need for journalists to prioritize children's dignity over sensational headlines and profit, ensuring their voices are heard and rights protected.

Participants from the South West states were urged to champion ethical reporting to shape a better future for Nigerian children. Key figures like Celin LaFoucrier and Ogbodo Nnam highlighted the significance of upholding journalistic ethics in portraying children's stories accurately.
