APM's Odidiomo Launches Development Pact for Oyo South

Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide Odidiomo, the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) senatorial candidate for Oyo South, engaged with grassroots community leaders in Ido and Ibarapa-East on Thursday to unveil his 2027 campaign agenda. He introduced a “social pact” aimed at enhancing education, agriculture, healthcare, technology, employment, and infrastructure development.

During an interactive session with members of the Community Development Councils, Odidiomo outlined a five-component education and skills empowerment program, which includes student scholarships, youth technical and vocational education and training (TVET), digital and Artificial Intelligence training for teachers, ICT and science laboratory interventions, and technology and entrepreneurship grants. He emphasized the importance of agriculture in his agenda, proposing the Ibarapa agriculture empowerment and value chain program to support youth agripreneurs and smallholder farmers.

Additionally, he promised to facilitate a federal medical center for Oyo South and proposed establishing ICT hubs in each local government area. Odidiomo also announced the “Light Up Oyo South Senatorial District” initiative, which aims to install 9,900 light poles across the region.
