Kogi Governor Ododo Supports 1,490 NYSC Members with ₦29.8M

Kogi State Governor Ododo allocated ₦29.8 million in financial assistance to 1,490 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members for the 2026 Batch ‘B’, Stream II service year. Each corps member received ₦20,000 to help with transportation and other immediate expenses as they begin their assignments.

The announcement was made during the closing ceremony of the three-week NYSC Orientation Course at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Asaya, Kabba, where Governor Ododo was represented by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Aridaojo Monday Anyebe. The governor urged corps members to approach their service year with dedication and to contribute positively to their communities.

He assured them of the state government's commitment to their welfare and safety. The Kogi State NYSC Coordinator, Mrs. Chris Moneke Chika Tochi, praised the governor for his ongoing support, noting that the latest financial gesture was timely and reflected his concern for the corps members' welfare.
