Ododo's Reforms to Ensure 2027 Re-election, Says Kolawole

Matthew Kolawole, the former Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, expressed confidence that the achievements of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo will lead to his re-election in the 2027 governorship election. Speaking in Lokoja, Kolawole pointed to the administration's focus on infrastructure, education, healthcare, security, agriculture, workers’ welfare, and youth empowerment since Ododo assumed office in January 2024.

He commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its conduct of the Ekiti and Osun governorship elections, indicating that INEC Chairman Prof. Joash Amupitan is prepared for credible elections in 2027. Kolawole emphasized that a government's performance should be evaluated based on its impact on citizens' lives.

He noted that Ododo's administration has initiated numerous projects, including the construction of roads, the proposed Kogi International Airport, and support for educational institutions and healthcare services, while also enhancing security through collaboration with various agencies.
