APC Group Urges Saraki to Defend Himself in Court

The Progress Congress APC Continu Mandat Group in Kwara State has called on former Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki to clear his name in court concerning new charges linked to the 2018 Offa bank robbery.

The group, which includes notable politicians such as former Ilorin East Local Government Chairman Alhaji Usman Bibir and former Minister of Sports Hon. Issa Bio Ibrahim, emphasized that Saraki should prepare for court proceedings instead of engaging in media propaganda.

They noted that the charges filed against him should be addressed in a legal setting, highlighting the importance of justice for the victims of the robbery. The group praised the current state governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, for his courage in filing charges against Saraki, contrasting it with the previous administration of Abdulfattah Ahmed.

They expressed a desire for Saraki to face trial and defend the allegations against him in court, ensuring public safety and decorum.
