Kwara APC and PDP Clash Over Saraki's Offa Robbery Link

The political tension in Kwara State has escalated as the APC and PDP clash over a DPP report that clears former Senate President Bukola Saraki of any involvement in the 2018 Offa bank robbery. The APC accused Saraki of maintaining connections with individuals convicted for the robbery, describing these allegations as widely known and politically motivated.

In response, the PDP dismissed the claims as baseless and a calculated attempt to blackmail its leader. The report from the Attorney General of the Federation indicated that Saraki was not linked to the robbery, despite new charges filed against his successor, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, and others.

The charges, filed in Kwara State High Court, include conspiracy and culpable homicide related to the robbery that resulted in 30 deaths. APC spokesman Alhaji Abdulwahe Babatunde emphasized that Saraki has nothing to hide and urged the matter to be resolved in court, while also criticizing the PDP's narrative as an attempt to rewrite history.
