APC Defends Saraki Amid Offa Robbery Case Controversy

The Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has stated that Bukola Saraki should not be concerned if his hands are clean regarding the Offa robbery case. This response came after the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) accused Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of attempting to reopen a case that had already been concluded for political reasons.

Abdulwahe Babatund, the APC's public secretary, addressed journalists in Ilorin on Saturday, asserting that the allegations made by the PDP are unfounded and that the matter is strictly a legal issue to be resolved in court. He described the PDP's position as melodramatic and an attempt to evade accountability.

Babatund emphasized that no individual is above the law and that Saraki has submitted to judicial processes rather than engaging in media exchanges. He also accused the PDP of politicizing the issue and reiterated that the Abdulrazaq administration remains focused on development while ensuring justice for the victims of the Offa robbery.
