ONSA Reports 1,721 Terrorism Convictions Since 2017

The Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) disclosed that since the initiation of its mass trial program in October 2017, there have been 1,721 convictions related to terrorism. This information was presented by Zakari Mijinyawa, the Director of Legal Services at ONSA, during a joint security briefing in Abuja.

The briefing involved various security, defense, and law enforcement agency spokespersons and emphasized the government's ongoing efforts to strengthen the prosecution of terrorism-related offenses. The initiative aims to enhance national security and address the challenges posed by terrorism in Nigeria.
