Uzodimma Declares Candidacy for Imo West Senate Seat

On Sunday, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma announced his intention to contest for the Imo West senatorial seat. He made this declaration via his verified social media account, stating that he accepted the call to represent the people of the Orlu zone in the National Assembly.

Uzodimma, who remains loyal to the All Progressives Congress (APC), aims to consolidate gains and renew hope for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He disclosed that he has already appeared before the APC leadership screening committee for the National Assembly primaries.

In his announcement, Uzodimma expressed his commitment to serve the people of Imo State with utmost humility and sincerity. He reaffirmed that the senatorial seat primarily belongs to the APC and emphasized the need for quality legislation to sustain development.

Other prominent politicians in the race for the Imo West senatorial ticket include former Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha and incumbent Senator Osita Izunaso.
