Ogogo's Daughters Endorse Yayi for Ogun Governorship

Lima and Kira Ogogo, the daughters of the late Yoruba actor Taiwo Hassan, known as Ogogo, have publicly endorsed Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, who is the All Progressives Congress candidate for the Ogun State governorship election in 2027. Their support was expressed during a community clean-up exercise in Abeokuta, organized by the Gen Z for Yayi support group.

Lima Ogogo emphasized the importance of young people contributing positively to their communities, stating, “What are we doing for the place we call home?” Senator Yayi had previously indicated plans to appoint Ogogo as his Special Adviser on Tourism and Culture if elected. Following Ogogo's death on August 23, 2026, at the age of 66, there have been calls for Yayi to consider appointing one of his daughters to the position intended for their father.

The sisters' support reflects their late father's relationship with Yayi and the senator's commitment to involving Ogogo's legacy in his administration.
