Fatal Crash on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Claims One Life

On Wednesday, a tragic accident occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, resulting in the death of one individual and injuries to four others. The incident involved a white Toyota Highlander with the number plate ABC 836 EF and a Daf truck with the number plate DTF 997 XA.

According to Babatunde Akinbiyi, the head of media at the Ogun State Traffic Compliance Enforcement Agency, the crash happened at 7 AM. Eyewitness accounts suggest that the Toyota Highlander ran into the rear of the moving Daf truck, leading to the fatal incident.

The Daf truck was reportedly loaded with cocoa and had five adult males on board, while the Highlander had three adult males. The deceased's body was taken for burial arrangements, and the Ogun State Traffic Compliance Enforcement Agency urged motorists to avoid excessive speed, especially during the rainy season, to prevent such accidents.
