Ogun Amotekun Corps to Recruit 1,000 New Personnel

The Ogun State Security Network Agency, known as Amotekun Corps, has initiated a recruitment exercise to add 1,000 personnel to its ranks, as announced by Brig Gen Alad Adedigba (Rtd). This initiative, approved by Governor Dapo Abiodun, is part of a strategic effort to reinforce community-based security operations throughout Ogun State.

The recruitment aims to consolidate gains in crime prevention and enhance rapid response operations driven by intelligence at the grassroots level. The new intake will complement nearly 1,300 recruits from the previous year and is expected to deepen operational capacity across 20 local government areas, particularly in rural communities and vulnerable border corridors.

Applications will be accepted from February 26 to March 13, 2026, with a thorough screening process scheduled from March 23 to April 8, 2026. The agency emphasizes a merit-based and transparent recruitment process, cautioning against fraudsters and unauthorized individuals demanding payments related to the exercise.
