Ogun APC Names Kudirat Adegunwa Balogun as Deputy Candidate

The Ogun State chapter of the APC has unveiled Alhaja Kudirat Adegunwa Balogun as the deputy governorship candidate for the 2027 elections, who will run alongside the governorship candidate, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi. This decision was announced by Governor Dapo Abiodun following extensive consultations with party leaders and stakeholders across the state.

Adegunwa Balogun, a 51-year-old financial expert currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of Finance and Administration at Rite Food Limited, is seen as a strategic choice to strengthen the party's appeal among professional women voters in Ogun East. During the announcement, Governor Abiodun praised the party's unity throughout the recent primaries and highlighted the significance of Adegunwa Balogun's nomination as a step towards greater inclusivity for women and youth in governance.
