Ogun Assembly Confirms Ademokun and Sanusi as Commissioners

The Ogun State House of Assembly confirmed the nominations of Adenik Ademokun and Olayemi Sanusi as commissioners during a plenary session on Thursday. Governor Dapo Abiodun had requested legislative approval for their appointments to the state executive council.

The screening process revealed that Ademokun has extensive experience in various capacities within the state public service, including her recent role as a commissioner in the state civil service commission, aimed at enhancing government service delivery. Olayemi Sanusi, a native of Odeda local government, was also confirmed, with the assembly emphasizing the importance of maintaining high standards in local governance.

The motion to adopt the committee's report was moved by Hon. Babatund Tella and seconded by Hon. Yusuf Amosun, with the assembly expressing satisfaction with the nominees' qualifications. Following the confirmations, Speaker Daisi Elemid directed the clerk, Sakiru Adebakin, to transmit the resolutions to the governor for further necessary action.
