Makinde Announces New Appointments in Oyo State

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde announced fresh appointments, including the nomination of Dr. Olabod Taiwo Ladipo as commissioner-designate.

This nomination will be forwarded to the Oyo State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation, in line with constitutional provisions. The effective date for Ladipo's appointment is set for July 1, 2026.

Upon confirmation, Ladipo is expected to join the State Executive Council and will assume responsibilities related to his office. Additionally, Arc Ifeoluwa Akand has been appointed as the chairman of the Samuel Ladok Akintola Airport upgrade committee, a flagship infrastructure project aimed at expanding the airport's capacity and enhancing economic activities in the state.

Hon. Isola Abiodun Adekunle has been appointed as executive adviser on intra-party affairs, while Hon.

Oladejo Emmanuel Oladokun will serve as a part-time member of the Local Government Service Commission. Governor Makinde urged the appointees to justify the confidence placed in them through dedicated service.
