Ogun Assembly Minority Leader Joins APC from PDP

Ogun Assembly Minority Leader Adeley has officially defected from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). This significant political shift occurred alongside the support of thousands of constituents and five other PDP lawmakers.

During the announcement, Adeley expressed gratitude towards Governor Dapo Abiodun for his inclusive leadership and record achievements, which influenced his decision. He emphasized that serving the people is more important than political titles and that the APC's rule will enable the delivery of democratic dividends.

Adeley is optimistic about the APC's prospects in the upcoming elections, citing a previous victory in Odogbolu where the party won 170 out of 178 polling units. He reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC and readiness to abide by the party's decisions regarding primary elections.

Local APC leaders, including Muyiwa Idowu and Babatund Diya, welcomed Adeley’s defection, highlighting the need for continued support from constituents for re-election.
