Ogun Court Remands 29 Suspects Over Assault Charges

On April 13, 2026, the Ogun State Police Command conducted a special operation named "Operation Keep Sagamu Safe," resulting in the arrest of 146 individuals. Following a thorough screening, 29 suspects were arraigned at the Magistrate's Court in Sagamu on five counts, including malicious damage, theft, and assault, which are punishable under Section 516 of the Criminal Code Law of Ogun State 2006.

Somefun presided over the case and granted bail to the defendants in the sum of N1 million, with conditions, while ordering their remand pending the fulfillment of bail requirements. The case has been adjourned until May 12, 2026.
