Ogun Police Parade 146 Suspects for Violent Protests

On Tuesday, the Ogun State Police Command paraded 146 suspects linked to violent protests and vandalism in Sagamu. The suspects were part of a group of commercial motorcyclists who unlawfully blocked the Oba Erinwol Gra road on April 7, disrupting the movement of innocent citizens.

During the protest, they attacked a health facility in Sagamu, preventing patients from accessing healthcare services. The parade took place at the Sagamu Division Police Headquarters, with DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, the command's spokesperson, alongside CSP Fred Od, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Sagamu, and CSP Marku Wantana, the second-in-command.

Isiaka Salami, the vice chairman of Sagamu Local Government Area, was also present. The police condemned the actions of the suspects, emphasizing the breach of public peace and the attack on medical personnel during the protests.
