Ogun Govt Extends Property Document Submission Deadline By Two Weeks

The Ogun State Government has extended the deadline for property owners affected by the ongoing physical development audit to submit their title documents by two weeks. Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Tunji Odunlami, announced the extension in a statement, giving property owners and developers more time to present planning permits to regularize unapproved developments.

The decision was made in response to appeals from affected property owners in Sagamu, reflecting the government's commitment to transparency and the rule of law. Odunlami emphasized that the extension should not be seen as undermining the government's previous actions, but rather as a gesture of goodwill.

He warned that enforcement actions would proceed after the new deadline lapses, urging affected property owners to take advantage of the extension to comply. The ongoing audit is part of the government's efforts to ensure sustainable urban development in the state.
