Ogun State Government Seals Four Industries Over Environmental Violations

The Ogun State government, through its Environmental Protection Agency (OGEPA), has sealed four industries for failing to install Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP) to treat wastewater before discharging it into water bodies. The sealed industries include New Era Packaging Limited, Nifong Materials Company Limited, Xinfeng Renew Resources Limited, and Prorich Products Nigeria Limited.

The ETP facilities are crucial for purifying wastewater to prevent harm to humans, wildlife, and aquatic life, as well as to safeguard the environment. OGEPA Chairman Farouk Akintunde emphasized the importance of compliance with environmental regulations to ensure a safer ecosystem.
